a laser collar slicing a head into eight clean wedges, and they built it for real, retractable rods and squib vials and all, none of the digital nonsense the late sequels kept leaning on. the spierig boys called returning effects vets back and you can feel it, a grain silo full of pitchforks and circular saws, somebody machined those traps. story's the same recycled twist box we've opened seven times. but i don't come for the plot, i come to watch latex do work, and this one actually lets the practical guys cook. respectable. revolting in the right spots.
