It’s time to leave.
Ángela Vidal, the young television reporter who entered the building with the firemen, manages to make it out alive. But what the soldiers don't know is that she carries the seed of the strange infection. She is to be taken to a provisional quarantine facility, a high-security installation where she will have to stay in isolation for several days. An old oil tanker, miles off shore and surrounded by water on all sides, has been especially equipped for the quarantine.

an oil tanker miles offshore, water on every side, one infected patient under guard. that is the dream perimeter. containment was won before the film began and they lost it anyway, and the breach vector was a MONKEY. you brought a primate aboard your last-stand quarantine vessel. unforgivable. angela strapped to the gurney is the only one running disciplined attrition, everyone else just sprints into corridors. the practical wounds are sound but comms collapse instantly and nobody holds a choke point at sea, the one place choke points actually win. the ocean did its job. the people did not.
