a hawking ripping the eye off a downed scientist to beat the retina scanner is the most competent threat this franchise has ever fielded. genuine problem-solving from the opposition, respect. the new taxonomy matters too: homers are no concern, ninjas favor ambush, the T-800 ignores standard double-tap doctrine entirely, and all of that changes your supply-line math. then Babylon melts every firearm into peace medallions. personnel, you do not disarm inside the wire, and predictably the perimeter folds. fun reunion, sound monster threat, catastrophic settlement policy. Overall containment grade: C+.

finally, a walker you can't just double tap. the T-800 dodging point-blank fire is the whole reason this earns its keep, you gotta get creative now. plenty of wet work in here, heads coming apart, the monster truck rig at the end mashing a horde into paste, run em over and let the chunks fly. i wish they leaned harder into squib work over quick cuts, but the kills land. zoey deutch as madison is funnier than she has any right to be. it's goofy, it's mean, the gore commits. i had a good time.
- Commander ZedReinforcements show up and the gags still land, but the formation got sloppier than the first deployment. Still knows its mission tho. Morale: A, Tactics: B.
