renner strangles rodney with a belt and then just stops, sits back down. that's the whole movie and nobody talks about it. people want the netflix spectacle, the gore, the body count. this one keeps dahmer in a chair drinking, and that's the brave call, no narrative drive on purpose. it doesn't begin or end because his life didn't either. folks forget this is the film that got renner the hurt locker, before the avengers he was THIS guy, quiet and wrong in a milwaukee apartment. it runs deeper than people give it. a standalone that feels unfinished, sure, but unfinished is kind of the entire point here.
