Twenty-eight weeks after the spread of a deadly rage virus, the inhabitants of the British Isles have lost their battle against the onslaught, as the virus has killed everyone there. Six months later, a group of Americans dare to set foot on the Isles, convinced the danger has passed. But it soon becomes all too clear that the scourge continues to live, waiting to pounce on its next victims.

District One is a containment plan written by someone who has never run a perimeter. you cleared a city, repopulated it with civilians, and parked your one immune asset behind a keycard her own grieving husband can swipe. amateur hour. the rooftop snipers were solid right up until command issued Code Red and told them to engage everyone, which isn't containment, it's converting your own asset column into the threat. Doyle abandoning post to escort survivors was the only correct read in the building. firebombing a mixed crowd tells me the after-action report was written before the operation. evac to the helicopter went better than most. Asset security: F. Overall: C+.

don shuts the door on his wife and just RUNS. ten minutes in. i thought this was a quiet little cottage movie and suddenly the whole countryside is sprinting at the window. the two kids sneaking back home is when my stomach dropped. y'all. y'ALL. i would have stayed in the safe zone, rip to everyone they doomed. the helicopter blade bit i watched through my fingers and still saw too much. the night vision chase had me holding a pillow over half my face the entire time. six pauses, every light in the apartment on. made it, shaking.
