Four years after defeating The Grabber, Finney Blake is struggling with life after captivity. When his younger sister Gwen begins receiving calls in her dreams from the Black Phone and seeing disturbing visions of three boys being stalked at a winter camp, the siblings become determined to solve the mystery and confront a killer who has grown more powerful in death and more significant to them than either could imagine.

the second gwen's dream goes grainy the whole thing starts to hiss like a tape watched too many times. that's the real scare, not the grabber. a phone ringing somewhere under the ice. that face split by the glass that keeps moving, i felt in my teeth. they lose it in the middle when everyone stands around explaining things to each other. let it breathe. it only works when it does. hawke is doing something genuinely unwell with his voice. grain doing the heavy lifting and i am not mad about it.
