bill paxton singing fake jimmy buffett songs about pina coladas while a cloaked killer thins out the staff. that's the whole pitch and it genuinely works. people clown this as the lesser broken lizard movie, super troopers' weird cousin nobody invited. wrong call. they actually committed to the slasher bones instead of just winking at them, machete phil has real backstory, and the sweating-to-the-oldies chase down the path is one of the best setpieces the troupe ever shot. coconut pete is a top-tier comedy creation and i'll fight about it. they peaked in the one everybody skipped.
