After a personal tragedy, Sarah joins her friends on a caving expedition in the Appalachian Mountains. But when a rockfall traps them deep underground, their adventure turns into a nightmare. As they search for a way out, the group discovers they are not alone—lurking in the darkness are savage, cave-dwelling creatures. With rising tension and dwindling trust, the women must fight to survive against both the predators and each other.

sarah rising up out of the blood pool, drenched, fully reborn. that's a person in a tank, and you can FEEL the weight of it dragging on her. the crawlers are men in makeup and prosthetics, real bodies, real heft when they tackle, nobody rendered a pale ghoul on a laptop and called it a day. juno burying the pickaxe is the kind of kill i'd frame, wet and committed, the splatter popping because it's saturated red against all that black rock, a contrast that only works when it's real. lost a point because the back half goes dark enough to hide some of the craft. light it, cowards. still, twenty years of latex talking: these people did the work.
