the suburb fell in about ninety seconds and that's the whole problem. these are sprinters, not shamblers, so attrition planning is out the window and you're running pure containment failure from minute one. the mall is a decent fallback, multiple sealable entries, supply for months, rooftop overwatch, but personnel kept opening doors for strangers, which is how perimeters die. the armored shuttle-bus convoy at the end was a sound extract on paper, terrible execution, no rear comms. ving rhames ran his sector like a professional. everyone else improvised. Perimeter: C+. Extract: F.

the gun-shop game, sniping celebrity lookalikes off the rooftop, is the most fun anyone's ever had in an apocalypse. headshots all afternoon, real squib pops, practical splatter on the parking lot. that zombie baby reveal made my wife leave the room and i mean that as the highest compliment. snyder shoots a bite like he respects the work, fast movers crashing through glass, red everywhere. the chainsaw on the escape bus is a little tame, but the kills before it earn it. romero's mall, milwaukee fog, a body count that means it. they let the makeup crew cook.

  • Commander ZedLean and loud, sure, but sprinting personnel kill the whole doctrine for me. Slow attrition is scarier. Containment: B-, Pacing: C.
