no hedgerow here, no green at all, just a damp attic and floorboards that remember what was spilled on them. and yet. the house is the field. blood soaks the boards and something climbs back out of them, slow and patient and owed. that's the old logic wearing a city coat. you take the pleasure, the box keeps the ledger, and the bill comes to collect with hooks. frank thought he could feast and walk away clean. nobody walks away clean. julia understood the bargain better than he did, which is its own quiet horror. the cenobites aren't villains to me. they're the invoice. i caught myself nodding when they arrived.

can a man be just. skin off. and still be flirting? apparently. frank crawling back up out of the floor as a wet pile of organs got a sound out of me my roommate has never heard. julia hitting strangers with a hammer to feed him, every single time, NOPE. pinhead says we have such sights to show you and i said respectfully no. the box is so pretty though, that's the trap, isn't it. you think it's a fun puzzle and then. yeah. grateful it's mostly slow so i had time to brace. six pauses, lights blazing, hood up for the chains-and-hooks part. survived. still shaking.
