miguel hands the gate keys to the horde and lowers the elevator himself. that's not a breach, that's an inside job. an underground silo is the dream perimeter and these people rot it from within, chain of command in open mutiny, rhodes screaming over a comms line to a surface that stopped answering weeks ago, scientists keeping a feeding pen down the hall from the bunkroom. the only one running drills with any discipline is bub, who learns the sidearm and salutes before he uses it. rhodes abandons his own men and gets torn apart going choke on em. attrition came for the leadership first, exactly as drilled.
