duct tape and staples. real tape, real staples, you can hear the wheeze, and that's the whole craft right there. shooting it in black and white sounds artsy but it's the smartest call they made, monochrome means no rubber to spot, no cheat to catch, the gore just reads as meat under flat grey light. the teeth-hammer scene runs 90 seconds with no cutaway. NONE. tom six holds it the way you hold a squib when you trust the rig, where most guys would flinch to a reaction shot. laurence harvey never says a word and still does more than half the cast of films i've worked on. not one i'd put on twice. but the prosthetics earned their keep. low rating everywhere and i get it. they're not grading the latex though. i am.
