jerusalem in hard daylight, a wall raised high against what's coming, and the dead climbing each other like ivy until the wall means nothing. that image knows something old. you don't keep the harvest out by building tall. you keep it out by staying quiet, and they sang. the film forgets the land the moment it boards a plane. all that concrete and motion, no season to stand in.

one minute lands: the newark apartment, lane moving room to room in the dark, counting seconds between thunderclaps so the noise covers him. that, i believed. the rest is a swarm rendered as weather, CGI surf that never lets you sit in a single doomed room long enough to feel anything.

  • Rowan ThornYou nailed it. No season, no soil, just departure boards and crowds. A plague should feel like something coming for your village, not a layover between cities.

zombies stacking themselves into a writhing human ramp over the jerusalem wall is the finest containment-failure case study i've ever watched. you build a perimeter that good and then your own people start SINGING into a loudspeaker. drawing the swarm with discipline that bad is a court martial. docking it for the sprinter variant, which gives you no standoff distance and no window to fall back the supply line. lane improvising a stealth approach through the WHO lab is sharp thinking though, quiet movement, no noise, exactly right. the plane was unforced. you do not toss a grenade inside your own evac vehicle. survivable, barely. Individual initiative: A-.
