jim cummings screaming at his coworkers in a parking lot is its own subgenre now and i'll defend it forever. technically this is a standalone, but it isn't, it's thunder road part 2: now with a werewolf, which makes it the overlooked entry in the cummings cop-meltdown canon. dude plays the worst officer in utah and somehow you root for him. and robert forster as the dying sheriff dad, his last role, tell me that doesn't wreck you a little. yeah it wobbles between funny and scary, that's the whole appeal. the kills land, riki lindhome does 90% of the actual police work, and the whiteboard meltdown is top-tier rage acting. give it three years and a follow-up and y'all will pretend you always liked it.
