somewhere around the demon hijacking a police jeep into a snowstorm, this stops being amish and becomes resident evil, and i lost it, darling. an amish horror documentary that quietly mutates into a cult sealing asmodeus into emily bader's body. i adore a film that swings THIS huge. yes the middle hour is dark hallways and waiting for a barn to do something. but whoever decided the finale needed a flamethrower of nonsense deserves a medal. dan lippert is genuinely funny, emily bader sells every terrified second. they walked into amish country and walked out of a video game.
