Mine clearance expert Johan Stensrud arrives to take over the job after Stein Halvorsen's accident. It quickly becomes clear to Johan that his predecessor was murdered, but no one cares about his suspicions. All he can do is start his own private investigation, while throwing himself into the work he is actually in Mozambique to do.
