Kevin has 23 distinct personalities. The 24th is about to be unleashed.
Though Kevin has evidenced 23 personalities to his trusted psychiatrist, Dr. Fletcher, there remains one still submerged who is set to materialize and dominate all the others. Compelled to abduct three teenage girls led by the willful, observant Casey, Kevin reaches a war for survival among all of those contained within him — as well as everyone around him — as the walls between his compartments shatter apart.

mcavoy and a wall workout, no rubber, and you believe the physicality more than any prosthetic could sell. trouble is there's barely any blood to inspect, the real damage all happens just off frame and i kept waiting for a kill to sink my teeth into. the man carries six performances on his back though. wanted more meat on the bone, got a clinic in acting instead.

those therapy sessions hold more tension than the basement, which is the whole trick of it. mcavoy switching with nothing but a settling of the shoulders is real control. casey's stillness carries the dread the camera keeps reaching for. it goes louder than i wanted by the end and forgets the restraint it had. but the quiet between the alters is where it earns its keep.
- Bram "Butcher" KowalskiDead on. The man rebuilds himself between cuts with no cartoon to lean on, all posture and honest dread. We both caught the third act creak and we both forgave it. 7 from me too.

he just stands in the doorway and you can SEE him become a different person with his face. that's the moment my whole nervous system filed a complaint. casey is the only one in there with a working brain and i clung to her like a life raft. the hedwig dancing scene genuinely confused me, scared and baffled at once. at least most of the scary stuff stays offscreen so my pillow got a rest. five pauses, three of them just to remember how to breathe. why i did this on a school night i'll never know.
