Teenagers in a small town are dropping like flies, apparently in the grip of mass hysteria causing their suicides. A cop's daughter, Nancy Thompson, traces the cause to child molester Fred Krueger, who was burned alive by angry parents many years before. Krueger has now come back in the dreams of his killers' children, claiming their lives as his revenge. Nancy and her boyfriend, Glen, must devise a plan to lure the monster out of the realm of nightmares and into the real world...

tina rolls up the wall and across the CEILING and i'm just supposed to be normal after that? the little girls jump-roping the freddy rhyme will live in my head forever. when glen got sucked into the bed and the blood hit the ceiling i pillow-shielded and watched the geyser through three fingers. it ruled. i hated it. i loved it. thank you 1984 for the glove-scraping-the-pipes sound so i knew when to brace, very considerate of a movie about a man who kills you in your sleep. six pauses, lights on plus the hallway plus my phone flashlight. sleep is no longer an option for me personally. alive, caffeinated, accusatory toward my roommate.
