In space no one can hear you scream.
During its return to the earth, commercial spaceship Nostromo intercepts a distress signal from a distant planet. When a three-member team of the crew discovers a chamber containing thousands of eggs on the planet, a creature inside one of the eggs attacks an explorer. The entire crew is unaware of the impending nightmare set to descend upon them when the alien parasite planted inside its unfortunate host is birthed.

the cat lives, and that's all i'll say about my emotional investment in jones. real talk, everyone treats this as the untouchable origin point, and fine, kane's chest doing what it does at the dinner table is one of the great moments. john hurt casually existing and then NOT. ash getting unscrewed and milk pouring out is so deranged i think about it weekly. but here's my flag: people sleep on this being the start of a franchise that only got braver. the slow burn is real, the nostromo creaks, ripley walks so the next four can run. an entry this patient earns all the chaos that follows. a foundation, not a relic.
