that wet click of migi's mouth opening in the back of shinichi's hand did more than all the CGI combined. sadao abe gives the thing a curious bookish lilt, which is so much creepier than a monster voice. the arrow-hand kill is cool but i kept wishing the parasite heads stayed understated instead of going full glossy. all the dread lives in shota sometani's face, the moment he realizes his own hand is awake and watching. cronenberg in 4k loses a little, too sharp to hide in, but i still flinched.
