that final freeze frame. the hiss, the stare. i have not recovered and i don't want to. people call this a friday the 13th knockoff and then act stunned when it does something none of those ever dared. felissa rose barely blinks the entire runtime and it's the scariest thing in it. aunt martha is doing community theater in a completely different film and somehow she's perfect. this is also the seed of a whole franchise, and it goes WEIRD from here, angela returns, the tone mutates every chapter, and i love all of it. the curling iron kill alone earns the wall. a strange, wonderful little family tree starts right here.
