A routine domestic flight turns into the flight from hell through a series of inexplicable phenomena and raw terror. Surreal encounters blur the boundaries between reality and nightmare. Passengers fight against all the odds in an attempt to survive while combating bizarre technological malfunctions, accelerating supernatural events and alien influences.

the first twenty minutes almost lost me, everyone's mumbling and the camera's flopping around like it's on the plane too and i thought oh no here we go. but then it locks into that one enclosed cabin set and just refuses to let you breathe and suddenly i'm gripping the armrest of my own couch like i paid for a seat on flight 298. tom brittney does this thing where he stays the reasonable guy for way too long and it works on you, you start doubting what you're seeing right along with him. is it as fresh as it thinks it is? no, you can feel the twilight zone and a certain 1979 spaceship movie breathing down its neck. but 85 minutes of tinfoil-hat paranoia curdling into something with tentacles is exactly my idea of a tuesday and i'm not gonna pretend otherwise

went in expecting a snakes on a plane situation and got genuinely rattled instead, which. rude. the whole thing feels like nightmare at 20,000 feet stretched out over a full flight and the fact they pulled this off on basically no money makes me insane, like the creature stuff should look cheap and it just doesn't. tom brittney is doing real work here selling the horror when everyone around him is losing it. it starts sagging when it stops trusting the mystery and wants to explain everything to you, and the last stretch loses me a little, but that claustrophobic build had my knees pulled up to my chest like a coward. that 80s/90s soundtrack itch it scratches is worth the ticket alone honestly.
