you cannot fortify against a piece of furniture that walks when nobody is looking. the threat is a wooden mannequin delivered in a trunk, so no perimeter holds, no supply line matters, and comms are useless when the asset is psychic and blind. opening incident: lone personnel, isolated structure, masked hostile in a yellow poncho with a hammer, and she opens the door. i would not have opened the door. against doctrine, every step. slow burn, but the dread is real and the staging is tight, i'll grant that. the glass-eye gag is good intel. just no holding a position against an enemy made of theology and carpentry.
