he storms a house to In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida and that alone earns a trophy for best use of seventeen minutes of organ solo. a serial killer with a soundtrack THAT unhinged. brian cox playing lecktor like a slightly bored hr manager, perfect. nobody does theatrics, everybody does menace, the walls are teal for no reason and i love them for it. william petersen twitches through every neon room like he's allergic to the production design. so committed to its own weird stillness it almost lost me in the quiet stretches. then tom noonan pets a tiger to impress a blind woman and i remembered exactly why i showed up.
