a crow comes out of the cold open like it already knew her name, pecks the eyes, and the truck finishes the job. there's a frozen lake here, a man going under the ice while everyone keeps playing hockey, and the season carries more weight than any line of dialogue. a boy raised away from any green thing, handed to a military school and a business empire, never stood a chance. the accounts had already been tallied. is Damien wrong about a single thing? i don't think so. daylight on snow, a raven where it shouldn't be. the old ways travel even into a boardroom. they just dress worse there.
