reneging in spades, used to kill a man, and it works. this is a slasher that respects the rules of the subgenre enough to weaponize them. the cabin, the masked archer, the board game with the little sambo face forcing them to pick who's the blackest to survive, that's a better death-game setup than half the saw entries. funnier than scary, sure, but dewayne perkins and x mayo carry the comedy so hard you forgive the polite body count. jay pharoah catching an arrow in the neck before the title even settles is a real opening. this NEEDS to become a franchise, one where the world actually matters. already overlooked and it isn't even old yet.
